Centres

Overview

Courage, Character & Career are the guiding elements for every program at DTE. Through multiple springboards of education, sport and art we foster learning to create individuals that positively contribute to society as they construct their own lives with meaning.

The centers focus on creative learning techniques to develop their Math, Science and English skills. These methods are a sharp departure from mainstream educational models. Over time, they are able to apply these concepts in their daily lives to achieve meaningful learning outcomes.

At DTE, the emphasis is on building 21st century skills. It includes analyzing stereotypes in movies, discussing global affairs, conducting research and representing a country at a Model United Nations. Additionally, the children are tasked with critically evaluating books while drawing inspiration from them. Developing presentation and debate skills is not uncommon at our centers.

Community Library

Launched on 18 January 2026 as part of Down To Earth’s 20th anniversary celebrations, the DTE Community Library is a welcoming reading space for children from the surrounding community. Located at the DTE centre, the library is run by a group of student volunteers who manage sessions every Saturday and Sunday from 4 to 6 pm. Each session blends stories with fun, library- and book-based games to spark curiosity and build a reading habit. Children are encouraged to explore a modest yet thoughtfully curated collection of English and Hindi books in an atmosphere that is playful, inclusive, and relaxed.

Why

It is imperative that we equip the children with the skills, knowledge and know-how which puts them on an equal footing with their peers in college and enables them to excel without inhibitions.
